Let The Hill Gypsy take you to the internationally renowned Kullu Dusehra festival which is a week long affair celebrated in majestic style. The celebrations are rather a unique blend of rich culture, history and rituals where no effigies of Ravana and his brothers are actually burnt. Thousands of people gather on the first day of the celebration to pay respect to Lord Raghunath ji. In particular, his statue is installed on a beautifully designed chariot graced with the presence of a congregation of over 200 local deities from the surrounding villages. The devtas in procession is indeed a magical treat for the eyes that leave many in awe and mystery.

Know Your Destination

The fair is synonymous with colorful festivities in the Dhalpur ground where you will find locals dressed in their traditional best, mela exhibits, and cultural evenings in the large am-phi theater and recreations to soothe all ages. In fact, on the last day of the festival, the chariot is brought by the banks of Beas River where a mass of wood grass is burnt, signifying the burning of Lanka.

• Our prices are all inclusive which literally means you do not spend a single penny other than any expense that is entirely personal in nature.
• Prices per person include all transfers, accommodation, all 3 meals of the day besides evening tea and snacks. This also includes all entry tickets, guided visits and mentioned adventure activities. Apart from that, there are a few surprises and incentives for our guests.
• We only deal in 3 stars and above rated properties, luxury villas and high end apartments & home stays. Other than that, only for a few destinations which do not have such availability. They are however, comfortable, hygienic and offer a good view.
• A detailed trip itinerary with regard to accommodation, transfers, day wise activities, inclusions and trip cost will be shared once you book the trip with us.
• Additions such as -extending the days of stay – adding a new destination or clubbing another trip – upgrading to an accommodation of choice- subject to availability – changes or additions in the food menu or activities can be made to the trip other than the mentioned itinerary, which may incur an extra expenditure.
