How about a trek to the less travelled Mountains in Himachal with the most experienced ones in the adventure field?

Kareri is a small picturesque, sleepy village near Dharamshala from whee the Kareri lake trek begins. The glacial Kareri trekking trail, perched high between the ranges of Dhauladhar Mountains offers the most scenic views en-route Kareri village uptill the Kareri Lake- 2934 m (also known as the Kumarwah Lake) lying at the foot of the Minkiani Pass- standing tall at an altitude of 3300 m above sea level. With the melting snow of the mighty Dhauladhar Mountains as its source, the pristine shallow freshwater lake and the terrain are enough to entice the adventure enthusiasts who also stand a chance to catch a glimpse of the many Himalayan bird and animal species.

The trek is one of the most scenic alpine treks that passes through several gushing streams and passes through green meadows. You will come across artistic shepherd villages that have a charm of their own also frequented by the tribal Gaddi community as it has green pastures all around The Lake remains frozen from December to March/April which adds to the charm of the place.

• Trek the Kareri glacial Lake passing through Kareri village and Reoti and trek down via Ghera and Naddi towards Dharamshala through thick alpine & fir forests, oak and Rhododendron trails-to treat your senses to the serene environs and majestic views of the snow-clad Dhauladhar peaks uphill.
• Camp at a high summit near the Kareri Lake and enjoy star gazing with bonfire over conversations (subject to clear sky). Marvel at the sight of the Lake. Sit back and cherish the calmness around.
• Trek to witness the rich flora & fauna of the region.
• Meet the locals and share a conversation over a cup of tea to get an insight into their culture & lifestyle. Taste local flavors.
• Relish fresh hot meals with a different menu every day except for packed lunches.
• Maximum 2 persons in a single tent with sleeping bags and mattresses.
• A proper kitchen cum dinning tent.
• We are immense nature lovers and care for our environment. We shall take you for a small plantation drive in the area for a little contribution from your side keeping in mind the declining forest cover in the hills.
• You can also opt for a one night/2 days trek from Kareri village to Kareri Lake and back for which the pricing will be different.
• You may opt for a night stay at Dharamshala/Mclodganj/Palampur at an additional cost.
• Travel from Delhi/Chandigarh/ Pathankot to Dharamshala and return can be taken care of at an additional cost.

• We only deal in 3 stars and above rated properties, luxury villas and high end apartments & home stays other than only for a few destinations which do not have such availability but are comfortable, hygienic & come with a good view and trips that involve camping & hiking.
• Additions such as (extending the days of stay/ adding a new destination or clubbing another trip/ upgrading to an accommodation of choice- subject to availability/ changes or additions in the food menu/ activities can be made to the trip other than the mentioned itinerary, which may incur an additional expenditure.
