Shalli Tibba Trek- 2872 m

Shalli Tibba is a standalone peak with 360 degree panoramic views. The peak towers over the Shimla district which is surrounded by Shimla, Mashobra, Kufri and Fagu. The trek has an abundance of blue pine and cedar forest. The Shalli top has a temple built with wood and stone in rural Himalayan architecture dedicated to goddess Kali. A trail to the temple was built in 1936 by Raja Faridkot and it still exists today.

In particular, it is an ideal weekend trek, away from the hustle & bustle of the congested Shimla city. It is indeed a trek which is serene, short and easy. Not only that but it can be completed in a day.

Trip Delights

  • To begin with, take an easy to moderate trek through Deoli to Shalli Tibba with base camp at Khatnol. The peak offers a 360 degree view of the Shimla town and its adjoining suburbs.
  • Enjoy star gazing under the sky apart from campfire at the campsite.
  • Pass through thick pine and deodar forests and green meadows.
  • Chance to witness the wild life in the region.
  • Nonetheless, meet the locals and share a conversation over a cup of tea. Get an insight into their culture & lifestyle. Taste local pahari flavors.
  • Relish fresh hot meals with a different menu every day except for packed lunches.
  • Maximum 2 persons in a single tent with sleeping bags and mattresses.
  • A proper kitchen cum dinning tent.
  • We are immense nature lovers and care for our environment. We shall take you for a small plantation drive in the area for a little contribution from your side in light of the declining forest cover in the hills.
