JAIPUR– the pink city is the largest and the capital city of Rajasthan and a major sightseeing destination in India which has a no of regal forts and palaces, offering magnificent views, a rich cultural history, luxury hotels and is a centre for shopping local artifacts and a great food junction as well. The city exudes a royal charm, also being one of the first planned cities in India and has earned UNESCO World Heritage status for setting an exceptional example of indigenous city planning.

UDAIPUR– the former capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is known as the city of lakes and sometimes also dubbed as the ‘Venice of the East’, besides its lavish forts, museums, palaces, museums, galleries, architectural marvels, fairs and festivals.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Jaipur Arrival

    • Upon arrival at Jaipur Airport / Railway station, you will be welcomed and transferred to your place of stay. Check in and relax.
    • Later we shall accompany you for a sightseeing tour of the pink city.
    • We shall visit the Amer fort & palace– known for its artistic style elements and a great example of Rajput architecture. With its large ramparts and series of gates & cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amer Palace. We shall also visit the ancient stepwells– the Panna Meena ka Kund on our way back.
    • Next, we shall visit the City Palace which is a royal residence and former headquarters of the rulers of the Jaipur State. It is a unique & special complex of several courtyards, buildings, pavilions, gardens and temples. The most prominent structures in the complex include the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, City Palace Museum and the Gobind Dev temple.
    • Later, we shall visit Jantar-Mantar- a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur.
    • Spend your evening around the Hawa Mahal-(wind palace) a five storey building built from red and pink sandstone with many small glass windows that holds the distinction of being the tallest building in the world that has been constructed without a foundation. It has a curved architecture that leans at 87-degree angle and a pyramidal shape which has helped it stay erect for centuries.
    • You can shop here around the Johri Bazaar for some local artifacts, accessories and hand block print clothes and home furnishings.
    • Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.
  • Day 2- Jaipur local

    • After breakfast, visit other attractions in the town of Jaipur. We shall first stop at the Albert Hall Museum. It is the oldest museum in the state and is a fine example of Indo- Saracenic architecture. The museum has a rich collection of artifacts including paintings, jewellery, carpets, ivory, stone, metal sculptures and works in crystal. The collection also includes coins from the Gupta, Kushan, Mughal & British periods.
    • Later, we shall see the Jal Mahal– the water palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. It was built by Maharaja Madho Singh in 1750 which offers phenomenal views.
    • Later, visit the Nahargarh and Jaigarh forts.
    • Nahargarh fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur. Designed in the Indo- European style of architecture, the fort features an imposing entrance, called Tadigate, and houses several impressive structures within its premises. Along with it, the Jaigarh fort which overlooks the Amer fort and the Maota lake. It was once the centre of artillery production for the Rajput’s.
    • Overnight stay and dinner at your place of stay.
  • Day 3 Jaipur – Udaipur

    • After breakfast, check out and transfer to Udaipur city. Check into your place of stay. Later, we shall take you for a sightseeing tour.
    • Visit the iconic City Palace Museum-a cultural trip where you can immerse yourself in the history of the Maharanas of Mewar. The sprawling museum is a series of palaces and exploring the palace is like negotiating your way through a maze. It was actually designed to hinder enemy attack.
    • Later, enjoy your time boating at Lake Pichola.
    • Overnight stay and dinner at your hotel.
  • Day 4 Udaipur local

    • After breakfast, visit the Sajjangrah Palace-also known as the Monsoon Palace. It was built in 1884 as the palatial residence of Maharana Sajjan Singh carved out in white marble. The palace overlooks a breathtaking view of the Lake Fateh Sagar. On your way back, you will visit the arts and crafts complex at Shilpgram.
    • Later in the day you will visit the Jagdish temple dedicated to Hindu god, Lord Vishnu. Its intricate architecture is incredible to behold.
    • Next, visit Bagore ki Haveli at Gangaur ghat, another of the top museums in Udaipur city. This palatial 18th-century noble mansion has been turned into a cultural museum with exhibits including puppets, weapons, turbans, royal costumes, paintings and antique kitchen implements. In the evening you can watch the Dharohar folk dance show here.
    • Overnight stay and dinner at your hotel.
  • Day 5 Day trip to Kumbhalgarh fort

    • After breakfast, visit Kumbhalgarh fort.
    • Kumbhalgarh fort is known as the Great wall of India and is the second most citadel after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region, also being one of the largest fort complexes in the world. The fort was built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The mighty fort is 3600 ft tall and 38 km long that surrounds the area of Udaipur.
    • By evening return to your hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

    • Any meals other than those specified. Expenses of personal nature such as tips, telephone calls, laundry, liquor, shopping etc.
    • Entrance fee, if any during sightseeing.
    • Vehicle will be provided on a point-to-point basis and will not be at disposal of the guest.
    • Any activity or sightseeing not mentioned in the itinerary.
    • Certain sightseeing places may not be covered due to bad roads or unsuitable weather conditions and no refund is applicable in such circumstances.
    • The guests should adhere to hotel / home stay check in and check out timings. Late or early check in & check out is at the discretion of the property and Hill Gypsy does not guarantee it.
    • Any expenses arising out of unforeseen circumstances like flight / train /bus delay / any additional meals / weather conditions.
